  Phacops \Pha"cops\, n. [NL., fr. Gr. fako`s a lentil + 'w`ps,
     'wpo`s, the eye.] (Paleon.)
     A genus of trilobites found in the Silurian and Devonian
     formations. {Phacops bufo} is one of the most common species.
