  Myeloidin \My`e*loid"in\, n. [Myelin + -oid + -in.] (Physiol.
     Chem.)
     A substance, present in the protoplasm of the retinal
     epithelium cells, and resembling, if not identical with, the
     substance (myelin) forming the medullary sheaths of nerve
     fibers.
