     'Artemisi`a.] (Bot.)
     A genus of plants including the plants called mugwort,
     southernwood, and wormwood. Of these {Artemisia absinthium},
     or common wormwood, is well known, and {Artemisia tridentata}


     is the sage brush of the Rocky Mountain region.
