  telekinesis \tel`e*ki*ne"sis\ (t[e^]l`[u^]*k[i^]*n[=e]"s[i^]s),
     n.
     the ability to move objects by means of thought alone,
     without physical means; -- an ability claimed by certain
     persons, such as mediums.
  


     Note: the existence of this ability is disbelieved by most
           scientists.
