  Supple-jack \Sup"ple-jack`\, n. (Bot.)
     (a) A climbing shrub ({Berchemia volubilus}) of the Southern
         United States, having a tough and pliable stem.
     (b) A somewhat similar tropical American plant ({Paullinia
         Curassavica}); also, a walking stick made from its stem.
