  Persulphocyanogen \Per*sul`pho*cy*an"o*gen\, n. (Chem.)
     An orange-yellow substance, produced by the action of
     chlorine or boiling dilute nitric acid and sulphocyanate of
     potassium; -- called also {pseudosulphocyanogen},
     {perthiocyanogen}, and formerly {sulphocyanogen}.
