     sway, domain, properly, the right of investigating or
     seeking; akin to E. sake, seek. {Sake}, {Seek}, and cf.
     {Sac}, and {Soke}.] [Written also {sock}, and {soke}.]

            district, as in manor or lordship; jurisdiction of
