  Saltness \Salt"ness\ (s[add]lt"n[e^]s), n.
     The quality or state of being salt, or impregnated with salt;
     salt taste; as, the saltness of sea water. In the sense of
     having salt content, {saltiness} is more commonly used.
  
     Syn: saltiness.
