  pallah \pal"lah\ (p[a^]l"l[.a]), n. (Zool.)
     A large South African antelope ({Aepyceros melampus}). The
     male has long lyrate and annulated horns. The general color
     is bay, with a black crescent on the croup. Called also
     {roodebok}.
