     arak arrack + t[=a]f[imac]a a spirit distilled from
     molasses.]
     A spirituous liquor flavored with the kernels of cherries,
     apricots, peaches, or other fruit, spiced, and sweetened with
     sugar; -- a term applied to the liqueurs called noyau,
