  Quesal \Que*sal"\, n. (Zool.)
     The long-tailed, or resplendent, trogon ({Pharomachus
     mocinno}, formerly {Trogon resplendens}), native of Southern
     Mexico and Central America. Called also {quetzal}, and
     {golden trogon}.
