It is based on {Modula-2}, but extended for {data parallel} ({SIMD}) programming. The main approach for machine independent parallel programming is to include a description of the virtual parallel machine with each parallel {algorithm}. There is a simulator and {X Window System}-based profiler for {workstations}, {Macintosh}, and {IBM PC}.
