  nanocomputer /nan'oh-k*m-pyoo'tr/ n. A computer with molecular-sized
     switching elements. Designs for mechanical nanocomputers which use
     single-molecule sliding rods for their logic have been proposed. The
     controller for a {nanobot} would be a nanocomputer.
