A large Asiatic crocodilian ({Gavialis Gangeticus}); -- called also {nako}, and {Gangetic crocodile}. [1913 Webster] Note: The gavial has a long, slender muzzle, teeth of nearly uniform size, and feet completely webbed. It inhabits the Ganges and other rivers of India.
