  Pyrocitric \Pyr`o*cit"ric\, a. [Pyro- + citric: cf. F.
     pyrocitrique.] (Chem.)
     Pertaining to, or designating, any one of three acids
     obtained by the distillation of citric acid, and called
     respectively {citraconic}, {itaconic}, and {mesaconic} acid.
