  Kivikivi \Ki`vi*ki"vi\, Kiwikiwi \Ki`wi*ki"wi\, n.; pl.
     {Kivikivies} (?), {Kiwikiwies}. (Zool.)
     Any species of {Apteryx}, esp. {Apteryx australis}; -- so
     called in imitation of its notes. More commonly called
     {kiwi}. See {Apteryx}.
