     A small chevrotain of the genus {Tragulus}, esp. {Tragulus
     pygm[ae]us}, or {Tragulus kanchil}, inhabiting Java, Sumatra,
     and adjacent islands; a deerlet. It is noted for its agility
     and cunning.
