  fibroid \fi"broid\ (f[imac]"broid), a. [L. fibra a fiber +
     -oid.] (Med.)
     Resembling or forming fibrous tissue; made up of fibers; as,
     fibroid tumors. -- n. A fibroid tumor; a fibroma.
