     'aneyrysmo`s, a widening, an opening; 'ana` up + e'yry`s
     wide.] (Med.)
     A soft, usually pulsating, sac, containing blood or blood
     clot, arising from the abnormal dilation of the walls of an


     artery, vein or heart. The more common spelling is aneurysm.
