     {Whizzing}.] [Of imitative origin. ???. Cf. {Whistle}, and

     To make a humming or hissing sound, like an arrow or ball
     flying through the air; to fly or move swiftly with a sharp
     hissing or whistling sound. [Written also {whizz}.]
