     {Wailing}.] [OE. wailen, weilen, probably fr. Icel. v[ae]la;
     cf. Icel. v[ae], vei, woe, and E. wayment, also OE. wai, wei,
     woe. Cf. {Woe}.]
     To lament; to bewail; to grieve over; as, to wail one's
