  Unappropriated \Un`ap*pro"pri*a`ted\, a. [Pref. un- not +
     appropriated.]
     1. Not specially appropriate; having no special application.

        the exclusion of others; as, unappropriated lands.

           for specific purposes must first be authorized by law,
