     truella, L. trulla, dim. of trua a ladle; probably akin to
     Gr. ? a stirrer, ladle, G. quirl a stirrer, MHG. twirel, OHG.
     dwiril, Icel. [thorn]vara, AS. [thorn]wiril. Cf. {Twirl}.]

        breaking bricks to shape them.
