  Tracheobranchia \Tra`che*o*bran"chi*a\, n.; pl.
     {Tracheobranchlae}. [NL. See {Trachea}, and {Branchia}.]
     (Zool.)
     One of the gill-like breathing organs of certain aquatic
     insect larvae. They contain tracheal tubes somewhat similar
     to those of other insects.
