? tongue.] (Zool.)
A division of marine gastropod mollusks in which the radula
are converted into poison fangs. The cone shells ({Conus}),
Pleurotoma, and Terebra, are examples. See Illust. of {Cone},
n., 4, {Pleurotoma}, and {Terebra}.
