  Tabulata \Tab`u*la"ta\, n. pl. [NL., fr. L. tabulatus floored.]
     (Zool.)
     An artificial group of stony corals including those which
     have transverse septa in the calicles. The genera
     {Pocillopora} and Favosites are examples.
