  Syncarp \Syn"carp\, n. [NL. syncarpium. See {Syncarpous}.]
     (Bot.)
     A kind of aggregate fruit in which the ovaries cohere in a
     solid mass, with a slender receptacle, as in the magnolia;
     also, a similar multiple fruit, as a mulberry.
