  Subdue \Sub*due"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Subdued}; p. pr. & vb.
     n. {Subduing}.] [OE. soduen, OF. sosduire to seduce, L.
     subtus below (fr. sub under) + ducere to lead. See {Duke},
     and cf. {Subduct}.]
