  Stycerin \Sty"cer*in\, n. [Styryl + glycerin.] (Chem.)
     A triacid alcohol, related to glycerin, and obtained from
     certain styryl derivatives as a yellow, gummy, amorphous
     substance; -- called also {phenyl glycerin}.
