  Stook \Stook\, n. [Scot. stook, stouk; cf. LG. stuke a heap,
     bundle, G. stauche a truss, bundle of flax.] (Agric.)
     A small collection of sheaves set up in the field; a shock;
     in England, twelve sheaves.
