  Stiver \Sti"ver\, n. [D. stuiver; akin to G. st["u]ber, Dan.
     styver, Sw. styfver.]
     A Dutch coin, and money of account, of the value of two
     cents, or about one penny sterling; hence, figuratively,
     anything of little worth.
