  Somatic \So*mat"ic\ (s[-o]*m[a^]t"[i^]k), a. [Gr. swmatiko`s,
     fr. sw^ma the body.]
     1. Of or pertaining to the body as a whole; corporeal; as,
        somatic death; somatic changes.
