     (sm[imac]ld); p. pr. & vb. n. {Smiling}.] [OE. smilen; akin
     to Dan. smile, Sw. smila, MHG. smielen, smieren, L. mirari to
     wonder at, Skr. smi to smile; and probably to E. smicker.
