  Slim \Slim\ (sl[i^]m), a. [Compar. {Slimmer}; superl.
     {Slimmest}.] [Formerly, bad, worthless, weak, slight, awry,
     fr. D. slim; akin to G. schlimm, MHG. slimp oblique, awry; of
     uncertain origin. The meaning of the English word seems to
     have been influenced by slender.]
