  Sergeanty \Ser"geant*y\, n. [Cf. OF. sergentie, LL. sergentia.
     See {Sergeant}.] (Eng. Law)
     Tenure of lands of the crown by an honorary kind of service
     not due to any lord, but to the king only. [Written also
     {serjeanty}.]
