  Sennet \Sen"net\, n. [Properly, a sign given for the entrance or
     exit of actors, from OF. sinet, signet, dim. of signe. See
     {Signet}.]
     A signal call on a trumpet or cornet for entrance or exit on
     the stage. [Obs.]
