  Rotary \Ro"ta*ry\, a. [L. rota a wheel. See {Roll}, v., and cf.

     Turning, as a wheel on its axis; pertaining to, or
     resembling, the motion of a wheel on its axis; rotatory; as,
     rotary motion.
