  Rheochord \Rhe"o*chord\, n. [Gr. "rei^n to flow + ??? chord.]
     (Elec.)
     A metallic wire used for regulating the resistance of a
     circuit, or varying the strength of an electric current, by
     inserting a greater or less length of it in the circuit.
