  Rhaetic \Rhae"tic\, a. [L. Rhaeticus Rhetian.] (Geol.)
     Pertining to, or of the same horizon as, certain Mesozoic
     strata of the Rhetian Alps. These strata are regarded as
     closing the Triassic period. See the Chart of {Geology}.
