  Retinol \Ret"i*nol\, n. [Gr. ??? resin + L. oleum oil.]
     1. (Chem.) A hydrocarbon oil {C32H16}, obtained by the
        distillation of resin, -- used as a solvent, as an
        antiseptic, and in printer's ink.
