  Quamoclit \Quam"o*clit\, n. [Gr. ? a bean + ? to bend, to
     slope.] (Bot.)
     Formerly, a genus of plants including the cypress vine
     ({Quamoclit vulgaris}, now called {Ipom[oe]a Quamoclit}). The
     genus is now merged in Ipom[oe]a.
