     n. {Purveying}.] [OE. purveien, porveien, OF. porveeir,
     porveoir, F. pourvoir, fr. L. providere. See {Provide}, and
     cf. {Purview}.]
     1. To furnish or provide, as with a convenience, provisions,
        or the like.
