  Prussic \Prus"sic\, a. [Cf. F. prussique.] (Old Chem.)
     designating the acid now called hydrocyanic acid, but
     formerly called prussic acid, because Prussian blue is
     derived from it or its compounds. See {Hydrocyanic}.
