  Propidene \Pro"pi*dene\, n. [Propyl + ethylidene.] (Chem.)
     The unsymmetrical hypothetical hydrocarbon radical,
     {CH3.CH2.CH}, analogous to ethylidene, and regarded as the
     type of certain derivatives of propane; -- called also
     {propylidene}.
