  Pliable \Pli"a*ble\, a. [F., fr. plier to bend, to fold. See
     {Ply}, v.]
     1. Capable of being plied, turned, or bent; easy to be bent;
        flexible; pliant; supple; limber; yielding; as, willow is
        a pliable plant.
