  Plebiscitum \Ple`bis*ci"tum\, n. [L., fr. plebs, plebis, common
     people + scitum decree.] (Rom. Antiq.)
     A law enacted by the common people, under the superintendence
     of a tribune or some subordinate plebeian magistrate, without
     the intervention of the senate.
