  Platyrhini \Plat`y*rhi"ni\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ? broad + ?, ?,
     nose.] (Zool.)
     A division of monkeys, including the American species, which
     have a broad nasal septum, thirty-six teeth, and usually a
     prehensile tail. See {Monkey}. [Written also {Platyrrhini}.]
