  Pinna \Pin"na\, n.; pl. {Pinn[ae]}, E. {Pinnas}. [L., a
     feather.]
     1. (Bot.)
        (a) A leaflet of a pinnate leaf. See Illust. of {Bipinnate
            leaf}, under {Bipinnate}.
        (b) One of the primary divisions of a decompound leaf.
