Pinfish \Pin"fish`\, n. [So called from their sharp dorsal
spines.] (Zool.)
(a) The sailor's choice ({Diplodus rhomboides} syn. {Lagodon
rhomboides}).
(b) The salt-water bream ({Diplodus Holbrooki}).
