  Phenalgin \Phe*nal"gin\, n. [Phenyl + analgetic + -in.] (Pharm.)
     An ammoniated compound of phenyl and acetamide, used as an
     analgesic and antipyretic. It resembles phenacetin in its
     therapeutic action.
